Meet our Teachers

Ms. Tara

Ms. Tara spent 5 years teaching in Miami before moving to St. Petersburg.  During her time as a teacher, she found a passion for helping students who struggle in math find their potential.  In St. Petersburg, Ms. Tara started tutoring one-on-one and with students who had fallen behind in their math classes.  Realizing the amount of need for after school help, she opened up the first LOVE Learning Center in January 2019.  She now works with other experienced teachers to help each child find the way they love to learn in a way that works for them!

Ms. Erica

Erica graduated from the University of Florida with a Master's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education with honors. Upon returning to her hometown in St. Petersburg, she worked as a Reading Intervention teacher with K-5 students using various reading programs at Maximo Elementary. She then spent 6 years in a self-contained unit in the ASD department K-3 at Bardmoor Elementary. Her teaching method combines game-based reading intervention with guided practice and phonics to help Neurodivergent students and their families.

Ms. Stephanie

Dedicated teacher and tutor at Love Learning Center specializing in ELA, test prep, and technology. I love helping students build confidence, think critically, and actually enjoy the learning process. I create engaging, personalized lessons that meet students where they are, while bringing curiosity and creativity into every session—especially as I continue growing my passion for science and STEM.

Ms. Sara K.

Ms.  Sara is a Pinellas County native, where she lives with her husband and two children.  Raised by 2 school teachers, her love for learning started at a young age.  She completed her Bachelors Degree at the University of Central Florida, where she focused on math, science, and psychology.  She became involved in the homeschool community when traditional schooling was not working for her son. Homeschooling her son brings her great joy, and she truly cherishes the time spent as they follow his curiosity to new and challenging lessons.  Raising her own children helped her to realize how important it is to be empathetic, patient, and aware of each child's unique abilities. She believes that learning should be a fun and positive experience for everyone, and works to meet students at their level.

In her free time, Ms. Sara loves to read, and travel with her family.  They take advantage of school breaks whenever possible, and find themselves off on exciting adventures exploring the world.

Types of Homeschooling

Homeschooling models come in many shapes and sizes, as every family's needs and goals are different. Unschooling is a model where children are free to pursue their natural curiosities, while worldschooling takes learning out of the classroom and into the world. Traditional homeschooling requires more structure and planning, while still allowing for some flexibility.

With the right support and resources, each of these models can be successful. Fortunately, there are many homeschooling support networks available, both online and in-person, to help families make the best decisions for their children.

Love Learning supports schedules from all homeschooling backgrounds! Listen Ms. Tara and Coach Will as they talk about unschooling!
