Core Classes & Programs

Core classes are grade-level academic courses designed for homeschooled students who want structured, standards-based learning with real grades, formal assessments, and certified teachers.

These classes follow Florida standards — the same standards used in traditional public schools — which means students are building exactly the skills they need, whether they're preparing to enter a school setting or working toward state end-of-year exams.

All Core students receive:
Letter grades and progress reports
Regular quizzes and tests*
Florida standards-aligned instruction

We currently offer three Core programs: our 8th Grade Prep Program, High School Biology, and High School Algebra 1. Each runs for both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Program Descriptions & Pricing

This program is designed for 8th graders who are planning to enter a traditional public or private high school as a rising 9th grader. Whether your child has been homeschooled since the beginning or transitioned to homeschooling during middle school, this program will make sure they arrive in 9th grade prepared, confident, and ready.

Students receive daily Math and Language Arts instruction, followed by an elective, a Discovery Cove, and time with our Social-Emotional Learning Specialist. This is a full-day, four-day-per-week commitment — and that structure is intentional. Consistency is what makes the difference.

Daily Schedule (Monday–Thursday)

10:00–12:00 — Math & Language Arts

12:00–1:00 — Lunch & Socialization

1:00–2:00 — Elective (student's choice)

2:00–4:00 — Discovery Cove

4:00–4:30 — Check in with our SEL Specialist/Life Coach

4:30–5:00 — End-of-day socialization

This program is separate from our High School Biology and Algebra 1 offerings. If you are interested in combining programs, please reach out to discuss scheduling options.

Pricing: $5,400 for the 16-week semester.

In order to reserve your student’s spot, a 15% non-refundable deposit must be sent by July 27th, and a credit card must be on file. Do not send any payments until after you have received your confirmation email with your total and our payment methods.

Our high school classes are taught by experienced, certified teachers, follow Florida standards, and can be taken for full high school credit. These classes are available individually — you do not need to enroll in both. They run for the full school year (Fall and Spring semesters).

Students will receive grades, progress reports, regular quizzes and tests, and a weekly IXL homework assignment to complete at home. At the end of the school year, students have the option to take the Florida state end-of-year exam through their local public high school, which can count toward graduation credit if they later enroll in a traditional school setting.

Biology

Monday/Wednesday 3-4 pm: Core instruction

Thursdays 3-5 pm: Lab

Two hours of weekly instruction plus a two-hour hands-on lab.

Maximum of 8 students

Pricing: $1,100 per semester (including lab)

Algebra 1

Monday/Wednesday 4-5: Core instruction

Tuesday 2-3: Virtual Study Hall (online, from home)

Two hours of weekly instruction plus a one-hour virtual study hall

Maximum of 10 students

Pricing: $900 per semester (including online study hall)
