Geeks & Games

Morning POD
10:00 AM - 12:50 PM

Math & Language Arts

Drop off starts at 9:50 and pick up is at 12:50. Students must be picked up by 1 PM unless enrolled for a 1 PM class.

Electives
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Drop off for 1 PM electives begins at 12:50.  Students not staying for an enrichment POD must be picked up by 2:10.

Lego Club: Competitive with Ms. Sara

All Ages 

Join our competitive LEGO club for weekly build challenges that test creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Littles Around the House with Ms. Amber

Ages 5-7

Little learners will become familiar with basic household tasks and chores, fostering independence, responsibility and helpfulness through fun, hands on activities and games.

Supply Fee: $10

Game Show Academics with Ms. Brittany

Ages 8-12 

Students will pair up with each other or against Ms. Brittany when using play-based learning that improves cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. These games include Monopoly, Scrabble, Chutes & Ladders, Sorry!, Battleship, Parcheesi, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune! Some of these games will be played as is for practice in strategy, while other games will be customized digitally to include core academics.

Minecraft ED: Building Adventures with Ms. Tara

Ages 8+

Embark on imaginative building adventures in our Minecraft Education class, where creativity and collaboration come together to construct virtual worlds and solve challenges.

Supply Fee: $10 (if new to Minecraft education)

Conversational ASL & Deaf Culture with Ms. Kaitlyn

Ages 8+

Deepen your understanding of sign language while immersing yourself in the rich traditions and community of the Deaf culture.

Prerequisites: ASL 1

Myths and Legends with Ms. Erica

Ages 8+

Come together to learn about myths and folklore. We will learn about Greek and Roman gods, cryptozoology (the study of legendary creatures like the Yeti and Loch Ness monster), and folk tales throughout time such as the Brothers Grimm and Arabian Nights.

Beginning French with Ms. Janice

Ages 8+

Bonjour! Start your journey into the language of love, culture, and global communication.

Enrichment PODs

Maps and Charts with Ms. Erica

Ages 6-10

Ahoy, young adventurers! 🏴‍☠️🗺️ Welcome aboard the “Maps and Charts” ship! 🌊⚓ In this swashbucklin’ class, we’ll sail through uncharted waters, decipher ancient treasure maps, and learn to read the stars like true buccaneers. 🌟🗺️ So grab yer spyglass, me hearties, and let’s chart a course for knowledge! 🌊⛵

Caine's Arcade STEM with Ms. Brittany

Ages 8+

Watch the inspiring story of Caine Monroy and create your own arcade project! Use your imagination, creativity, and engineering skills to plan, experiment, and build your own favorite arcade game out of cardboard and other recyclables.

Supply Fee: $30 

Geeks & Games with Ms. Kaitlyn

Ages 10+

Join our geek culture and board games class to explore beloved topics like Japanese animation and Comic-book culture while diving into the history and gameplay of nerdy board games. Embark on a journey where fun meets learning, discovering the stories behind your favorite games and geeky passions.

PERT Prep with Ms. Tara & Coach Will

Ages 13+

Join Ms. Tara and Coach Will as they help prepare you to pass the reading, writing, and math sections of the PERT test for Dual Enrollment.  This specialized program has already helped many students pass while strengthening the foundational skills necessary to be prepared for college level classes.  Students will also receive access to the program to work outside of class.
